Dear Colleagues,

I'm writing with exciting news: The AANA website (www.aana.com) is in process of being redesigned.

Following extensive research by an outside consultant that involved member surveys and focus groups, as well as discussions with AANA staff, a firm was hired to redesign and reorganize the website. The project has two initial phases, the first of which is scheduled to be completed in early 2006. Highlights of Phase I include the redesign, the addition of a comprehensive search engine, focus on key areas (as requested by the membership) such as contacts, membership renewal capabilities, on-line meeting registration, and more. Among the highlights of Phase II will be legislator communication.

In addition to letting you know about this initiative, I also wanted to give you a heads up that during the next four months, while the new website is under construction, from time to time it will appear that no new information is being added to the site. In reality, essential information involving upcoming meetings, CE opportunities, government affairs, etc., will continue to be updated on an as-needed basis almost nonstop throughout the redesign.

Updates on the redesign will be posted on the website itself and published in the NewsBulletin to keep you abreast of our progress. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience you might encounter during this process.

The AANA website has long been a valuable resource for our members and the public; in a few months it will be significantly better, especially with a search engine in place to help members easily locate vital information. I know you will like what you see.

Thank you.
