The Consensus Management Group (CMG) has been retained to conduct a search for the position of Director of Continuing Education, Certification and Recertification, American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). The AANA is a 35,000-member organization located in Park Ridge, IL. (As you know, the AANA¹s mission is to advocate patient safety and excellence in anesthesia. The AANA has a staff of approximately 100 employees, a budget of approximately $24 million and an 11-member board of directors. AANA seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with a minimum of a master¹s degree. A doctoral degree is preferred. Experience in educational or administrative positions which include clinical experience in anesthesia administration, office management, evaluation processes and an understanding and knowledge of external organizations such as NOCA, ABNS, and the NCSBN is required. Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills are essential. A copy of the job description is enclosed.
