2023 Fall Conference Speakers                                     

 

Tom Baribeault, MSN, CRNA

Thomas Baribeault is the founder of the Society for Opioid-Free Anesthesia (SOFA) and is currently serving as President. SOFA is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and research on opioid-free anesthesia and post-operative pain management. Thomas currently practices in Atlanta, Georgia and is responsible for implementing opioid free anesthesia and post-operative pain protocols. He received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Ohio State University, a master’s of science in nursing and anesthesia residency from Case Western Reserve University and a doctorate in nursing practice and pain management fellowship from the University of South Florida. 

 

 

 

 

 

Brian Selai, MSN, CRNA

Brian is a CRNA who currently resides in Lakewood Ranch Florida. He currently works for Sound Physicians covering several hospitals in Southwest Florida. Having over 20 state licenses, he worked on several national anesthesia transition teams from coast to coast.

Brian is currently adjunct faculty at the University of South Florida and the University of Pittsburgh. He spent 8 years teaching for Twin Oaks Anesthesia and currently serves a role with Maverick anesthesia education when called upon to assist with hands-on POCUS training.

 

 

 

 

 

Jason Trudell, MS, CRNA, ARNP

Jason Trudell was born and raised in Upstate, New York and for the last 15 years has called the greater Tampa Bay area home. After graduating high school, he attended Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Exercise Physiology. Upon graduation, he attended Syracuse University and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Mr. Trudell worked in a variety of critical care ICU units as a Registered Nurse prior to attending the University of Pittsburgh for his master’s in nursing, specializing in Nurse Anesthesia. Mr. Trudell has practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in more than thirty states and with the United States Army.

He currently holds the rank of Major in the US Army reserves and is a veteran of multiple combat deployments in support of the War on Terror. Mr. Trudell also possesses a Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from the University of South Florida (USF) and is pursuing his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Liberty University.

 He currently lectures on a variety of topics from practice management, revenue cycle management, demand forecasting, value stream costing, and clinical integrated operations. Mr. Trudell is the Chief Executive Officer for Executive Anesthesia, Inc. a staffing, management and transitional leadership company based out of Tampa, Florida with operations in 35 states and business engagements in over 400 healthcare facilities.
